ARE YOU EXPERIENCED IN IT SUPPORT OR HELPDESK?

Ellis Mason have the pleasure of recruiting an IT SUPPORT ASSISTANT person for a highly credible business based in Stevenage. The company are happy to look at relatively junior people but they do feel that some practical work experience within IT is required.

As the IT SUPPORT ASSISTANT you will work in a small team and you will support the staff within the business with their IT requirements. There is small amounts of travel required to local offices but the role also involves several days home working a week.

THE SALARY & BENEFITS

Permanent, full time basis.
Up to £23,000 - £25,000 per annum
Annual bonus.
20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
Car allowance (after successful completion of probation).
Government pension scheme.
9am-5.30pm - Monday to Friday with occasional out of hours support

THE JOB

The main duties included within the role of the IT SUPPORT ASSISTANT, are:

Working in a help desk fashion, responding to open tickets and following through to completion.
Monitoring and checking all of the companies IT equipment to ensure it is running effectively.
Technical support on printers and the phone system.
Creating accounts for new employee's and setting up the hardware.
Maintain and support on internal servers.
Storage management (local and cloud based).
Monitoring data, network and hardware security.
Coordinating systems backups.
Supporting Directors with management of things such as firewalls, outlook settings, and more.
Creating regular reports.
Monitoring of Firewalls, ISP connections and switches.
Responsibility for inventory control of hardware, software, mobile devices, etc.
