ENTRY LEVEL ROLE FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS AN INTEREST IN STARTING A CAREER AND GAINING QUALIFICATIONS WITHIN TAX AND/OR INSURANCE FINANCIAL PLANNING

Ellis Mason have partnered with a long-established business based in Harpenden to help them recruit for a JUNIOR TAX ADMINISTRATOR to train within their business.

This role would suit someone recently out of education who has little to no work experience.

For the role of the JUNIOR TAX ADMINISTRATOR, you will need to have an interest in gaining further qualifications within tax and working in an accountancy environment.

THE SALARY & BENEFITS

Permanent, full-time basis
35-hour week with flexibility to choose your hours WITHIN 8am and 5pm (i.e. 9am-4.30pm with 30 mins lunch or 9am-5pm with 1 hr lunch)
If you would prefer to have a shorter working day then you can opt for a 30 min lunch break (instead of an hour) and leave 30 mins earlier every day
Starting salary of £20,000
20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.

THE JOB

The main duties included within the role of the JUNIOR TAX ADMINISTRATOR, are:

Assisting advisors who in Personal Taxation with administrative support
Using internal CRM systems to update, amend and record confidential data
Using the CRM system to implement tasks
Scanning documents
Filing documents both electronically and manually
After the 3-month probation period, a training plan would be put in place to undertake the ATT (Association of Tax Technicians)
Initially, you will be offering admin support to the Tax Advisors, however long term you could either become a Certified Tax Advisor (CTA) or progress into the Chartered Institute of Insurance Financial Planning
Answering and handling incoming telephone calls, forwarding to correct contact where necessary
Liaising with clients regularly, answering and responding to any queries, ensuring you respond in a timely manner
