Ellis Mason are recruiting for a OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE MANAGER with at least 5 year’s experience within distribution or manufacturing from a quality, process or change management background.

The purpose of the role is to provide leadership for the ongoing development of an environment focused on quality, develop and oversee control systems, evaluate the efficiency of controls and strive to continuously improve them.

As the OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE MANAGER, you will be familiar with using business process management methods to discover, model, analyse, measure, improve, optimise, and automate business processes as well as ensuring that the Company’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, supplier, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.

THE JOB

  • Create and implement a best practice compliance system, manage the audit programme.
  • Work proactively with all Directors, Managers and staff to maintain a programme of continual improvement within their areas of responsibility.
  • Lead the teams to achieve quality targets for customers and business goals.
  • Working together with quality and process/compliance management overseas to implement and achieve group standards.
  • Review, design and implementation of controls.
  • Administration and improvement of Internal audit processes.
  • Administration and improvement of GDPR processes.
  • Coordinating business process improvement strategies with internal stakeholders.
  • Overseeing all aspects related to the implementation stages of business process improvement initiatives.
  • Process mapping using standard software i.e. MS Visio
  • Analysing and monitoring implemented changes to business processes and tailor adjustments as needed.
  • Provide clear leadership for the ongoing develop of an environment focused on quality.
  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines (i.e. GDPR) and internal policies.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of controls and strive to continuously improve them.
  • Ensure that the Company’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, supplier, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Maintain and improve existing quality management system ISO 9001: 2015
  • Use KPIs from our ISO 9001 quality system to improve efficiency, cost and customer experience using process improvement processes
  • Produce written reports and presentations
  • Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
