Ellis Mason are recruiting for a OUTBOUND SALES EXECUTIVE to join a successful manufacturing company based in Baldock.

This is an exiting new role for the company due to continued growth and demand for their product. You will be joining a well established but small sales team who will provide excellent on-going sales training. The focus is to generate new business via the telephone and manage existing accounts.  This is predominantly an office based role with occasional travel to overseas exhibitions and events. 

To be suitable for this role, you must have proven sales experience of at least 2 years in a B2B sales role, ideally selling technical/physical goods on behalf of a global manufacturing business. 

THE SALARY & BENEFITS

  • Permanent, full time basis. 
  • £25,000-£27,000 plus £5,000 - £6,000 bonus 
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Contributory pension.
  • Monday to Friday based position 09.00am to 5.30pm.
  • Full product training given. 

THE JOB

The main duties included within the role of OUTBOUND SALES EXECUTIVE, are: 

  • Research and identify new potential clients from within the company databases and other online searches, identifying key players and generating interest
  • Increasing the number of active UK and international customers.
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through outbound and inbound lead generation activities, including cold calling and emails.
  • Following-up on outbound cold calls, sales leads and emails
  • Understanding potential customer needs and requirements
  • Prepare accurate, effective sales quotations, marketing communications and sales correspondence
  • Where required, routing qualified opportunities to other members of the sales team for further development and closure, ensuring accurate and detailed customer sales handover information.
  • Maintain and expand the database of prospects
  • Work with channel partners to build a pipeline and close deals
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects
  • Meet all activity, customer acquisition and revenue targets as agreed with the Head of Sales.
