Ellis Mason have the pleasure of recruiting an PART TIME OFFICE/RECEPTION MANAGER to work for a highly reputable business in Hitchin. 

The role of the PART TIME OFFICE/RECEPTION MANAGER is a part time role which is initially being offered on a 6 month contract due to covering a maternity leave. 

In order to thrive in the role, you will need to be hands on and work on reception, with administrative and line management duties also.  

The role would suit someone from either an Office Management, Administration, Facilities OR Reception background, with small line management duties of a small team. 

THE SALARY & BENEFIT

  • Contract, Part Time basis. 
  • £20,000 Salary (pro rata).
  • Monday 8am - 2.30pm, Wednesday 9am-5.30pm (or 9.30am-5.30pm with a 30 mins lunch) and Thursday 9am-5.30pm (or 9.30am-5.30pm with a 30 mins lunch)
  • After 3 month probationary there is access to contributory pension, life insurance and optional private health care.
  • Company social activities every few months.

THE JOB

The main duties included within the role of PART TIME OFFICE/RECEPTION MANAGER, are: 

  • Manning a reception area, answering all calls and passing them on to the correct contact. 
  • Managing 3 other receptionists, carrying out appraisals, etc. 
  • Scheduling cover for any holiday or absence. 
  • Approving office spend invoices. 
  • Coordinate and book travel and accommodation for staff.
  • Managing all the companies post and any courier arrangements. 
  • Booking meetings via an online system. 
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Facilities management such as booking in building fixtures or engineers, ordering stationary, etc. 
  • Setting up and clearing out of meeting rooms. 
  • Ordering refreshments for meetings when required.
  • Parking management. 
  • Organising events. 
  • Negotiation of services such as cleaners, facilities, etc. 
  • Health & Safety management.
