Ellis Mason are recruiting for a GENERAL PARTS MANAGER to join a commercial automotive business with offices in Hertfordshire.

As well as playing a key role within the Senior Management Team, the key overall functions include effectively managing the processes of inbound and outbound parts supply, maximise parts and accessory sales revenues to agreed targets and significantly enhance parts availability at Dealerships to increase customer satisfaction levels.

THE JOB

  • Compliantly and effectively managing the Parts team, ensuring a high level of performance, motivation and enthusiasm.
  • Developing an effective Parts marketing strategy that will deliver growth at agreed levels.
  • Developing an e-commerce parts solution capable of competing with vehicle parts factors.
  • Significantly reducing instances of parts related VOR'S at Dealerships.
  • Promote company values to help ensure any parts related VOR'S are managed effectively
  • Ensuring all models of vehicles in the UK have parts & accessories availability in line with performance standards.
  • Agreeing and maintaining  parts related KPIs in all after sales contracts, including parts and logistics
  • Managing parts and accessories stock availability through control of logistics contractor.
  • Organising the DMS/EPC operational efficiency throughout the AR network.
  • Managing parts information and support service to authorised repairers.
  • Developing and managing additional parts services, including second line & BVP product necessary to combat penetration from factors and spurious parts providers.
  • Organising quarterly competitive reviews to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Developing and maintaining the parts accessories brochure in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Ultimately developing, agreeing & achieving the network AR parts and accessory targets.
  • Working with and satisfactorily managing the performance of TVS, developing the ongoing relationship to maximise service quality at minimal cost.
  • Ensuring PCN and supersession’s are managed to provide maximum financial advantages.
  • Monitoring parts back orders and taking appropriate actions with TVS.
  • Monitoring on an ongoing basis contractor performance, benchmarking against market and alternative contractors.
  • Producing  monthly reports to an agreed format.
  • Managing stock EPC to cover new product launches.
  • Ensuring the delivery of parts to dealers and the processing of returns and credits is carried out according to operating standards.
  • Ensuring parts initial stock levels are correct and maintained to AR operating standards.
  • Acting as the principal manager of new part introductions.
