PRODUCTION OR MANUFACTURING ASSISTANT REQUIRED

Ellis Mason has the pleasure of recruiting for a PRODUCTION ASSISTANT to join a well-established, small business, based in Henlow.

The company offer full training and so we are able to look at candidates both with and without relevant experience.

The role would suit someone who pays attention to detail and likes the design aspect of attaching parts carefully to ensure a polished finished article.

This is a standalone role within the business however you will be working closely and have interaction with lots of staff members within the small business.

THE SALARY & BENEFITS

Permanent, full-time basis.
A salary of £23,000-£25,000 dependant on experience
On-site parking
25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (keep some back for Xmas shut down)
Pension - 5% company, 3% individual contribution
Death in service package
Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours 8.30am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch
Full training given

THE JOB

The main duties included within the role of the PRODUCTION ASSISTANT, are:

Assembling company products using tools such as belt sanders, wood splitter and blow torches
Using lifting tools to lift large and heavy items
Maintenance of machinery
Carrying out quality control checks
Adhering to H&S procedures
Assisting in the warehouse when production capacity is reached
Assisting with picking items and stock replenishment
Ordering materials
Overseeing the delivery of materials
Carrying out quality-control checks
General house-keeping of the production area
Using the in-house computer system to update systems and carry out stock ordering
