The contract is to cover a maternity leave and is expected to be for 12 -15 months. We are looking for someone to join them right now so that a generous handover of 3 months can take place with the current Project Manager.

Although there are no guarantees, the company are growing and there is a possibility that there could be a permanent opportunity to stay on at the end of the contract, if it suits both parties.

As the PROJECT MANAGER | IT SOFTWARE, you will be responsible for the delivery of client implementations on projects ranging usually from 3 months to 12 months.

The company are open to considering people from slightly differing backgrounds to their own but you will need to be technically minded to be able to operate in this industry. They will also consider people at a slightly more junior stage if they still fulfil a large amount of the job spec in other areas.

The company are not looking for anyone qualified, experience definitely takes precedence over any qualifications (such as Prince2, Agile, etc). The role will involve using hybrid methodologies from all areas to be able to perform the role.

  • Contract, full time basis.
  • Starting salary of £29,000-£40,000 dependant on experience (slightly more may be considered if the person has the exact experience in every way and may be looked at up to £45,000).
  • Possible permanent opportunities.
  • 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Contributory pension, free onsite parking.
  • Private Health Insurance
  • Christmas/summer event or party.
  • Monday to Friday based position 09.00am to 5.30pm.

As the PROJECT MANAGER | IT SOFTWARE, your role will include:

  • Planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting on software implementations.
  • Continuing to monitor post implementation.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed project plans on both Excel and MS Project.
  • Working closely with and mentoring colleagues to ensure that project timelines are met and delivered.
  • Resolving any issues that may arise either client based or internally.
  • Working with the Project team to ensure that accurate work lists are built and action plans are effectively adhered to.
  • Managing and meeting client expectations and delivering these within the team.
  • Following and enhancing current implementation policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining and using templates in order to aid the implementation process.
  • Attending regular reviews and daily meetings to ensure that processes are being followed and timelines are being met.
  • Adding any needed improvements.
  • Working within ISO27001 standards and adhering to the relevant working processes.
  • Producing and circulating plans that provide information on current projects and their progress.
  • Identifying any risks and issues that could occur.
  • Being aware of where everyone in the team is at, so that you can forsee any future issues that may arise.
  • Trigger the invoice creation process by informing the accounts department when invoices should be raised in line with contractual agreements.
  • Constantly sharing knowledge and advise to the Project team on project management methodologies, best practice, software and tools.
  • Desirable but not essential - experience of leading and working in development sprint cycles and a commercial understanding of project costings and contractual obligations.
