Ellis Mason are supporting a global manufacturing company based in Baldock with their recruitment of a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER.

This is an exiting new role for the company due to continued growth and demand for their product. You will be joining a small office based team with a focus on generating new business via the telephone, managing existing key accounts and up-selling new products into old accounts. This is predominantly an office based role with a focus on B2B sales via the telephone, email and LinkedIn with the occasional travel to overseas exhibitions and events. 

The company are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years experience within a Business Development role, ideally selling technical goods on behalf of a manufacturing organisation.

THE SALARY & BENEFITS

  • Permanent, full time basis. 
  • £30,000-£32,000 plus £17,000 bonus (£47,000-£49,000 OTE).
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Contributory pension.
  • Monday to Friday based position 09.00am to 5.30pm.
  • Full product training given. 

THE JOB

The main duties included within the role of the BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER are:

  • To sell the full range of company products into existing and new markets. 
  • Identify opportunities and cross-sell into existing relationships in order to grow the sales revenue. 
  • Utilise the company's databases to identify and target new potential customers. 
  • Research and identify new clients that are not on existing databases.
  • Sell new products that come to market into both new and existing businesses. 
  • Work with existing businesses to identify their needs and discuss future potential requirements. 
  • Carry out research to identify new potential markets and opportunities for growth. 
  • Offering an exceptional level of service to both new and existing customers at all times.
  • Building long term business relationships in order to increase the revenue of repeat sales orders.
