Ellis Mason have the pleasure of working with a global construction company on their search for a SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR from the Building industry. This is a HUGE project for the area and will give the right person incredible experience for their CV. 

The role is a permanent opportunity,  based in Cardiff and will offer the opportunity to work on an incredibly impressive £350 million pound project. This project is close to a lot of people's hearts and has a deep affection from the residents. It is a 3 year project however the company are offering permanent contracts as they have extensive UK future plans. If for whatever reason the contract needs to end, they would offer redundancy rather than putting people on contracts.

This role is for an experienced QUANTITY SURVEYOR with a minimum of 5 years experience, to work on the project in a senior capacity. 

To be considered for the role the of SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR you will need to have worked on building projects such as Schools, universities, hospitals, or similar. Ideally working on projects over £50 million, however over £30,000 will be considered.

THE JOB

The main duties included within the role of the SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR, are:

  • Overseeing the project Quantity Surveyors
  • Risk management
  • Reviewing internal budgets
  • Management of sub-contractors and consultants onsite - including: documentation, assessment of variations, certification of applications for payment, negotiating final accounts
  • Evaluating design changes and appraisal of options
  • Assisting the Procurement department
  • Monthly submission of internal reports
  • Handling client applications
  • Coordinating all contract administration
  • Advising on contractual issues
  • Ensuring commercial compliance of current contracts whilst protecting the position of the company
  • Report to Commercial Manager/ Project Director and other appropriate stakeholders as required
  • Additional duties associated with the role as determined by management
