ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER?

Ellis Mason have the pleasure of recruiting an experienced SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER to work for an established business based close to Baldock.  

As the SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER you will have overall responsibility for the supply chain department and the team of 6. 

You will hold overall responsibility for the consistency of supply and inventory control. 

To be considered you must experience of global supply chain management, as well as experience of negotiating  with the Far East supply chains. 

This SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER is a new role within the company that has become available due to growth. 


THE SALARY & BENEFITS

  • Permanent, full time opportunity. 
  • Salary £35,000-£40,000 per annum dependent on experience.
  • 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays. 
  • Government contributory Pension.  
  • Free on-site parking.
  • 9am - 5.30pm standard office hours, Monday to Friday.


THE JOB

The main duties included within the role of SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER, are:

  • Managing all aspects of the supply chain function within the business. 
  • Timely resolutions of issues.
  • Management of inventory KPI's. 
  • Monitoring stock level and ordering of new stock.
  • Day to day monitoring of Far East shipping and logistics.
  • Liaising with logistic companies and suppliers regarding logistical and supply issues.
  • Maintaining regular communication with all key suppliers. 
  • Working with Category Directors to plan and implement mass production of new products (and bespoke tailored products).
  • Assisting with gross margin increases by executing cost control and improvements in purchasing, logistics and supply chain. 
  • Overall management  of the purchase order process with suppliers. 
  • Coordinating with the Far East contacts to ensure that raised orders are despatched in a timely fashion. 
  • Stock management and inventory control. 
  • :Coordination and distribution of stock reporting. 
  • Processing FOC (free of charge) spare parts orders. 
  • Maritime tracking.
  • Coordinating damage claims.
  • Periodic overseas visits to manufacturing partners if required. 
  • Regular visits to warehouse.
