Ellis Mason are recruiting for a HOUSING OFFICER to join a highly successful, local company.

This is a temporary to permanent position. The temporary period is for 3 months and within this period you will able to apply for the permanent vacancy that is available within the organisation.

The role is based in Letchworth but at times you could be travelling to local housing, with the furthest sites being in St Albans.

Whilst temping the pay rate is likely to be around £12.40 per hour, however if permanent the salary would be £25,269.

Please note: Once permanent you must be able to be on an out of hours rota which is shared amongst 10 members of staff.

In order to apply for the position you must be able demonstrate a similar housing/property background and you must be a driver with your own vehicle.

THE JOB

The main duties included within the role of SUPPORTED HOUSING OFFICER, are:

Providing high quality housing management to elderly people.
Providing an on-call out of hours support to tenants on a rota basis.
Monitoring health & safety and site security.
Coordinating repairs.
Advise and assist with housing claims.
Managing communal facilities.
Resolving any tenancy issue and handling any conflicts.
Maintaining all manual online records.
Providing an excellent customer service to all tenants and their families.
Identifying tenants needs and making any relevant referrals.
