Ellis Mason are recruiting for a SYSTEMS BUSINESS ANALYST to join a global software company specialising in the health industry.

The purpose of the role is to design solutions exploiting the company’s product portfolio. You will be experienced in analysing study protocol requirements and defining solutions and will play a key role in ensuring the project meets the needs and is feasible to implement, based upon the capabilities and limitations of the product, in the agreed timescale and budget.

This role can be performed remotely however if desired, the company’s offices are based in London and will be opening soon.

As well as Implementation Consultants, this role could be suited to Solution Consultants, Business Analysts or Product Owners with experience in requirement gathering and developing software solutions.

THE JOB

  • Analyse the protocol and scope to collate the design requirements
  • Understand up-front conversations and expectations and initiate the solution definition
  • Collate questions and design options to be presented to the sponsor, providing recommendations, design alternatives and background to best practices to ensure the right choices are made
  • Analyse and communicate design risks and options to mitigate against them, if possible. This includes any change in scope related to any new feature or design update.
  • Lead the design portion of internal/external meetings in order to confirm design requirements with sponsors and gather any additional, critical business needs, making sure standards are followed.
  • As a requirement gatherer expert and product owner in Jira, document design decisions in user stories and collaborate with Technical Services and Verification in order to accept user stories for implementation
  • Communicate proactively with the implementing teams, including, e.g., Technical Services, Verification and Data Management, to ensure the implementation of the solution progresses as planned and the solution is implemented according to standards and best practices
  • Seek feedback on their designs proactively, through involvement of internal and sometimes external stakeholders and in regular design board meetings or retrospectives
  • Research, define and document Design Best Practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and other Centres of Excellence in internal initiatives and new product features/development
