Our client, a Commercial Vehicle Manufacturer based in Hertfordshire is looking to recruit a TECHNICAL HOMOLOGATION MANAGER, to be responsible for maintaining compliance in all homologation matters for all UK vehicles.

To be eligible for this role, we’re looking to speak from candidates with at least 5 year’s experience in a similar role including experience in managing overall compliance and legislative ‘Route to Certification’ for all UK vehicles, Type Approval, Certificate of Conformity (CoC), Conformity of Production (CoP) with experience with all of the legislative and industry bodies in the UK,  such as Department for Transport and Vehicle Certification Agency, Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency.

THE JOB

  • Ongoing liaison with external colleagues to manage the flow of all relevant documentation that supports the ‘Route to Certification’ and Registration for all vehicles in the UK.
  • Ensure the Importation of all vehicle details into the relevant IT Systems – I-Design
  • Support component certification for vehicle products and future GB WVA process implementation.
  • Read, fully understand, interpret and integrate all current and upcoming legislative changes into the company processes, procedures & systems
  • Using EWTA portal maintain and manage all second stage approvals
  • Support all legislative Audits as required
  • Manage and resolve all issues on Non-Compliance and manage recovery processes
  • Issue of Second Stage SoC documents for IVA
  • Work with approval centres and VCA where necessary to update systems and approvals as required
  • Issue and manage second stage VIN plates as required by authorised manufacturing sites
  • Produce in association with Registration department and apply for vehicle Derogations for approvals as listed by VCA.
  • Produce and maintain Bodybuilders guide for UK Market
  • Manage & maintain the internal I-Design Portal
  • Ensure all updates for approvals and Bodybuilder guides are continually updated and loaded into the I-Design portal
  • Support with AutoCAD, future drawing needs for engineering changes for UKNTA EWVTA and NSS and product updates
  • Document and investigate build issues with Bodybuilders in relation to current body builders guide and future legislation
  • Review and implement best practice for future documentation/certification requirements.
  • Maintenance and update of QMS Management system and portal
  • Maintain and up to date assembly plant audit templates and audit points as required by vehicle spec changes or regulatory changes
  • Attend appropriate SMMT and other Industry meetings as required
  • Prepare all relevant ISO documentation for final signature by the relevant authorised operation
  • CoP internal Manager, auditor, and signatory
  • Stage2 Manager and signatory for CoC paperwork
  • Stage2 Manager and signatory for Approval System extensions   
  • Authorised SoC Manager and signatory for DVSA compliance
  • Authorised Signatory for ELV compliance statements
  • Produce and issue Revised Fuel and CO 2 certificates to EWVTA and GB WVTA Bodybuilders for use at Registration
